If you're looking for a shorter honeymoon cruise in late May/early June consider these options...

Paul Gauguin Cruises in French Polynesia (this was probably one of my favorite trips—ever)

Paul Gauguin will also be sailing a new-to-them ship in the Mediterranean in 2013...the Tere Moana. They've got a nice Istanbul roundtrip on the schedule.

SeaDream Yacht Club operates two gorgeous megayachts and there's a really nice Rome roundtrip voyage.

Silversea has several Med voyages, including a Venice to Rome option on the intimate Silver Wind.

Seabourn sails ships in both the Med and Northern Europe in May/June so consider an Athens to Venice route aboard Seabourn Spirit or a Copenhagen to Stockholm voyage on the larger Seabourn Sojourn.

Finally, I don't have their 2013 schedule in front of me, but try Compagnie du Ponant...small ships and excellent French cuisine.

I'm glad you mentioned something about formal attire since so many of the nicer cruise lines seem to require it. That's a great note to keep in mind, especially since these cruises run 30, 60, even 90 days.

Unfortunately, we're getting married in late May 2013, so we'd need to look for something towards the end of the year or possibly in the beginning of 2014.

It hasn't changed my travel habits because I'm frankly not big on cruises. Just like the 'Exxon Valdez' fiasco and the present 'Rena' calamity, it makes me wonder about the qualifications of some of the captains in charge of these ships. All three were arrested after the accidents, but that doesn't change the environmental damage. I wonder how long it will be before we read about the 'Concordia's oil spilling into the sea.
